It's supposed to be twice as big this year, with food from 30 micro-vendors from La Cocina's incubator program, 20 restaurants (like Pizzeria Delfina), 10 food trucks, and many more. Think Lucero's bacon-wrapped hot dogs, Chaac Mool's cochinita pibil, and Jello shots from Sweets Collection. Buy passports for the festival online to save time and money. On Folsom between 22nd and 26th streets, and from Treat to Shotwell streets between 23rd and 25th streets
Once you've reached the point of food coma, head over to the festival's after-party at 7 p.m., and dance some of it off. DJ Quest, Tormenta Tropical, and Afrolicious will be spinning at Public Works. And, yes, they'll have drinks and food in case you work up another appetite. 161 Erie St. (at Mission)
