The summer countdown begins with a bevy of outdoor activities.
RIDE
The Ride Formerly Known as Hella Big Bike Party
What: The annual Bay Area celebration of bikes and debauchery covers twenty miles of easy riding in what's sure to be an "interesting" night. Join a scrum of fellow bikers for a rowdy takeover of East Bay streets.
Why: Biking twenty miles will instantly burn any beer calories you're intaking.

Where: The ride begins at Ashby BART at 3100 Adeline Street in Berkeley.
WOOF
What: An afternoon fair for pups features a cook-out, photographers, a pet boutique, and a small animal show. Bonus: your pooch can create a one-of-a-kind piece of art to hang on the refrigerator in a paw painting event. Proceeds will benefit the Marin Humane Society, and shelter dogs will put on a fashion show modelling Kathy Kamei Designs Jewelry. And, as an additional treat for the humans, the event is hosted at Cavallo Point Lodge, one of Travel and Leisure's "Top Resorts in California."
Why: Treat your pup to an afternoon at one of the most scenic resorts in the world.
When:The festivities take place on Sunday, June 7 from 12-4 p.m.
