What: Cal Academy of Sciences has the brain on the brain with this night of trivia and activities dedicated to the body's largest organ. Did you know the octopus is considered to be one of the most intelligent sea creatures? Animal biologists will be on hand to share feats of ingenuity among some of our favorite critters. Test your own brain power with scientific trivia, enhance your memory with tips from the Memory Techniques Club, and catch a special presentation on astronavigation at the planetarium. DJ Tristes Tropique will be spinning in the coral reef, and cockails abound. Bring your ID—this party's for grown-ups only.

What: Calling all foodies! It's that joyous time of year when all the best food trucks gather together to bring us eclectic street eats in a picnic setting. Pack a blanket, bring some cash, stuff your face, and enjoy the views from the lawn at the Presidio.

Free First Sundays at Oakland Museum of California
What: Every first Sunday of the month, OMCA waives its admission fee to give everyone a free dose of history, art, and natural science. Through April 24th, check out Unearthed: Found + Made, showcasing geologically inspired sculptures by Oakland native artist Jedediah Caesar.
