With such an amazing lineup and only two stages (with perfectly staggered set times), there's barely any time left to think about what to eat at this weekend's Treasure Island Music Festival, let alone to actually eat it. Luckily, we've done all the work for you.
Because walking around with a bowl of pho at a music festival would be silly, order the Pho Noodle Rolls from RPS instead. The rolls contains strips of steak, a bit of Thai basil, and a dab of housemade oyster sauce wrapped in fresh rice noodle. Yum.
Abura-Ya Japanese Fried Chicken
If you love fried chicken as much as we do, do not miss Abura-Ya's Japanese version. It comes with four crispy morsels, which you can dip into their miso ranch to cool everything down. Sadly, these babies will only be available in the VIP section.
A bao is basically a Chinese taco, so we're pretty excited about that. Opt for the pork belly, which is steamed until tender then garnished with turmeric-pickled daikon, a leaf of green shiso, and painted with a miso glaze. You can get these in baked buns too, both are great for eating-on-the-go.
Perhaps the most festival-friendly food item on this list, you'll definitely want an empanada or two from El Porteño. Go with the carne, a delicious mix of ground beef, onions, green olives, raisins, and a hard-boiled egg. These things hold up super well and are delicious at room temperature, so feel free to hoard a few in your backpack to snack on during sets.
Nombe's brick-and-mortar may be gone, but their infamous ramen burger lives on. If you've never tried one before, it's definitely worth ordering. Who says gimmicky can't be delicious?
Tacos hold a special place in our hearts (along with beer and tequila). So when we heard that Tacolicious would be slinging chicken tacos braised in Dos Equis and tequila, we just had to tacoabout it. Points for portability here.
Picture this: sharing a funnel cake with your sweetheart on the ferris wheel overlooking Treasure Island at sunset, while FKA Twigs is playing. Is that not the most romantic thing ever? Or just eat the funnel cake, because you need dessert and it's delicious, especially when topped with fresh strawberries and dollops of homemade whipped cream.
