Where to Watch Fourth of July Fireworks Around the Bay Area

Wherever in the Bay Area you may happen to be on Fourth of July, we hope you're near one of these places to see the fireworks!
Pier 39: The fireworks show at Pier 39 is the most well known celebration in the city. There will be family fun events and a live performance by Tainted Love – The Best of the 80s Live west of the Pier 39 Entrance Plaza from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., but, the real show doesn't start until 9:30 p.m.
Fisherman's Wharf: Near Pier 39, Fisherman's Wharf will also be hosting its own fireworks display starting at 9:30 p.m. Be prepared to battle your way through a big crowd for a good view of the fireworks show.
Chinatown Fireworks Show: Not a fan of the traditional fireworks display? Then head to Chinatown where the celebration will include everything from spinning firecrackers to exploding dragons. 8 p.m. at Grant and Sacramento Street.
Blue & Gold Fleet Cruise: See a July fireworks show on a cruise of the bay. The ship departs from Pier 39, Pier 41, and Tiburon at various times around 8:30 p.m.
Berkeley Marina: Celebrate the entire day with food, live entertainment, and fun activities ranging from face painting, Nerf tag, giant slides, and pony rides! The fireworks show starts at 9:35 p.m. If you want the best view, find a spot along Frontage Drive (south of the Pier) or from the parking lot at HS Lordships Restaurant.
Alameda County Fairground: The 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular will start at approximately 9:30 p.m. and will be accompanied by music performed by the Oakland Symphony. Reserve a spot at the Budweiser Grandstand (at the Horse Racing Track) for the best view of the fireworks show.
July 4th Festival of Family Fun: Celebrate Independence Day at the Jack London Square July 4th Festival of Family Fun. The waterfront will be filled with interactive activities and entertainment for both parents and children. Enjoy playtime at Riveropolis, watch stilt walkers perform, experience creative puppetry. There will be food and live music performance at the festival from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Craneway Pavillon Symphony Show: On July 3rd, the Oakland Symphony will be preemptively celebrating Fourth of July with an evening of fun activities such as an instrument petting zoo, live music from the Oakland Symphony Youth Orchestra, and a spectacular firework display starting at 9:15 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
Sausalito Fourth of July Celebration: Festivities include music by Fred McCarty, food by the Sausalito Rotary Club and Galilee Harbor, dancing and family games like tug-o-war and egg toss. The parade begins at 10 a.m. and the fireworks start at 9:30 p.m. at Spinnaker Point. Dunphy Park and Gabrielsen Park on Bridgeway.
Marin County Fair:This fair spans 5 days, from June 30th to July 4th, with fireworks displays every night at 9:30 p.m. The event takes place at the fairgrounds, so you also get to spend the entire day hitting up all the carnival rides. 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Pacifica Fourth of July – This celebration includes face painting, games, food, crafts and live music. Mon., July 4. 11am-4pm. Frontierland Park, 900 Yosemite Drive.
Central Park at Santa Clara: Bring your lawn chair and blankets to watch fireworks at 9:30 p.m. The city will start celebrations at 12 p.m. with free public swimming, live entertainment, carnival games, and food.
Discovery Meadow at Downtown San Jose: Rotary Club of San Jose and Symphony Silicon Valley presents Rotary Fireworks, an evening event starting at 5:15 p.m. with a dinner buffet, fun activities for kids, and a firework show that will start at approximately 9:30 p.m.
Skypark at Scotts Valley: This year marks the city's 50th Fourth of July celebration. Not only is the parade route expanding, but there will also be 8 vintage planes (instead of the usual 4) doing a flyover. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. and fireworks begin at 9:15 p.m.
Napa County Fair & Fireworks: A parade starting at 11 a.m. will take places through downtown Calistoga and a fireworks show will at 9:30 p.m. Enjoy a full day of carnival rides, games, and food.
Napa Valley Wine Train for its Independence Day Dinner:Watch the Yountville fireworks from the comfort of the Wine Train. After a gourmet dinner, the train stops for the fireworks celebration above the Veteran's Home. 5:50 p.m. to 10 p.m. at 1275 McKinstry Street, Napa
Rohnert Park's premier 4th of July Festivity
: Gates open at 4:30 p.m. for a lawn festival which includes carnival games, bounce houses, face painting, food, and a live-music performance by Steve Tyrell and the Santa Rosa Symphony. The night will end with a spectacular fireworks display.
San Francisco Symphony: Witness a musical spectacle that celebrates the holiday with a fireworks display accompanied by the orchestra. There will also be screening of well-known movies including E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Harry Potter, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Mon., July 4th at 8pm. $24-35. Chili Cookoff and Ice Cream Taste Off: Have you ever thought about where the best Silicon Valley ice cream is made? During this third-annual even, you'll get to sample all of the Valley's best homecooked chili and ice cream. There will be live music, dancing, children's activities, and face painting. 12 P.M. - 5 P.M., 500 E Meadow Drive, Palo Alto at Mitchell Park
