Harvey Milk's First Campaign Poster
Harvey Milk—gay rights activist and the first openly gay person to be elected for public office in the history of California—campaigned with this poster in 1973, a few months after moving to San Francisco. Milk lost this campaign; but eventually won in 1977. (Bolerium Books, $3,500)

A 1946 flyer decrying violence incited by fake news
"Odezwa do Ludnosci M. Kielc!" ("Appeal to the People of the City of Kielce") is a leaflet and poster distributed in 1946 following a violent pogrom in Kielce, Poland. Created by a group of leftist workers and socialists, the flyer was an appeal to calm the city after a mob of local police and citizens, incited by fake news, attacked and killed more than 40 Polish Jews who had returned to the city after the Holocaust. Tippler's Vow
Possibly the earliest "Just Say No" campaign, written by Lee Fairchild and published in 1901, The Tippler's Vow is a 25-stanza rhyming poem warning against the dangers of indulging in wine and alcohol. The set includes the author's original and a second copy; both are beautifully bound books with original covers and 26 illustrations from Jean Paleologue. (Kline Books, $27,500)
Vulgate Bible (13th century)
The Vulgate Bible is written in Latin with illuminated manuscript on parchment. This work was bound in France circa 1250-1270 and is part of a selection of bibles and biblical commentaries that depict the biblically-centered faith of medieval Europe. (Les Enluminures)

The First Feature Film in The World
An original 63mm film fragment from 1897 of the boxing match between DzGentlemandz Jim Corbett and Bob Fitzsimmons. The fragment shows the two fighters in a clinch. This film became a landmark for motion pictures and boxing. (Royal Books, $9,750)

This is a privately printed edition of Christina Rossetti's "Verses, Dedicated to Her Mother" was printed by her grandfather, printer Gaetano Polidori, when Rossetti was only 16. In the Gutter by Val Hennessy
This one-of-a-kind book—which contains images of punks punks juxtaposed with images of people wearing traditional dress—was conceived after the publishers were researching imagery for a book on world religions, and found that the adornments of different ceremonial dress reminded them of portraits of contemporary punks.
