Signpost, the local community-powered deal site, just announced the launch of its free iPhone app. An extension of its member-driven site (which launched earlier this year), this new app will clue you in while you're out—whether it’s a steep clothing discount from your favorite boutique or a dinner special from a trendy local restaurant that would make for the perfect post-shopping date.

With Signpost, you decide. Users have the ability to post the special deals they discover in their neighborhoods, which makes for a curated list of specials throughout the city. An Android version of the Signpost app will launch shortly, but for those of you with an iPhone, you can download the app here.
