If the recent surge of new stores in Union Square is any indication, the retail recession may finally be on its way out. Once empty storefronts are quickly filling up, and might we say, looking better than ever. In fact, there's so much happening as of late that it's been hard (even for us!) to keep track, so we decided to do a quick recap of the new and notable around SF's shopping mecca:
Harputs Market, 140 Geary St, open now: We're beyond thrilled this local favorite decided to move their avant-garde wares from Lower Fillmore, and even more so that they're inhabiting the gorgeous old Prada space.
Vince, 36 Geary St, open now: Taking over Shotwell's old stomping grounds on Geary, Vinceis arriving just in time to bring their luxe cashmere and leggings to the masses as the weather cools down.
James Perse, 33 Grant Ave, open now: Within a week of Agnes B. shuttering, the storefront was painted black and stocked with cozy basics for men, women and home.
Michael Kors, Level 1 of Westfield, opens mid-November: Find modern classics for everyone on your list when Michael Kors hits Westfield in all its 2,000 sq. ft. glory this holiday season.
Bulgari, 200 Stockton St, opens mid-November: Slated to open on the 17th, the iconic Italian jeweler is back with a vengence on Union Square's hottest corner.
