Easter Treats? A Guide to The City's Best

If you can only have one thing this Easter make it be this: Emporio Rulli Bakery's La Colomba Pasquale or “The Easter Dove”, a lighter, more citrusy version of panettone. The fluffy sweet bread made with candied orange peels, almond paste, and powdered sugar is baked in a dove-shaped paper mold. Amazing.


For kids, Cocoabella’s got the ultimate Easter basket ($50). The multicolor weaved basket features delicious milk chocolate covered gummi bears, a milk chocolate egg house, a chocolate bunny and crème brulee Eggs.

For adults, Recchiuti has it on sophisticated Easter treats. This season, they're making burnt-caramel hazelnuts coated with candy shells in pastel yellow, green, white and pink ($9).We’re also eggstatic that Christopher Elbow’s popular Easter Egg Collection ($24)is available again this year. Nine chocolate eggs span from lavender-caramel to coconut. (

Charles’ Chocolates offers a twenty-piece assortment box of Honey Bunnies. Each bunny is filled with Black Button Sage honey in a bittersweet chocolate ganache. Yum! ($34)

Finally, Miette is our regular go-to for the most beautiful sweets. They'll customize a basket for you. They sent us one to try that included gorgeous French Praline robin's eggs ($1/egg), absolutely addicitive caramel quail eggs ($5/bag) and a Maison Bouche crepe bar ($6) made in Oakland. Let's just say we didn't want to share. With anyone.
