Here's what the 7x7 editors focused on this week in lieu of their deadlines.
Ginger has long been hailed as a miraculous cure-all for the likes of colds, although I’ve always put a knob of it in my smoothies to aid digestion, and, like Oprah, used the powder form to make a tea. This double shot from Thistle is a potent booster, trust me. Merely uncapping the bottle unleashed a spicy aroma that drew a crowd around my desk. As a bona fide wimp, this kind of industrial strength nutrition required dissolving in exactly two mugs of hot tea. My buddy Brock, on the other hand, prefers the fiery potion straight up. — Leilani Marie Labong (@llcoolbabe)
Little known fact: When I was in sixth grade my favorite tee was a vintage find that depicted Angus Young (the guitarist for AC/DC) in his signature school boy uniform with devil horns growing through his newsie cap. I was even wearing it the day I met Usher. Swoon. Needless to say, it’s a girlhood dream come true that the band is coming to the desert this spring. Now I just wish the rest of the lineup was as good. — Sarah Medina (@funkycolsmedina)
This juice hits you right in the face. Closed fist. Pow. Black and blue, perfectly. That's the beauty of the blackberry-tinged fragrance from Seattle-based Ellen Covey, purveyor of Olympic Orchids artisan perfumes. I caught a bracing whiff of this scent on a lady walking down 24th Street the other day. Stopped me dead on the sidewalk, as any good perfume should. Sweet jarring relief. Blackbird's notes are Himalayan blackberry fruit, dry grass, elemi, cedar wood and resin, amber, fir balsam, and musk. Pick up a bottle at Tigerlily (973 Valencia) or online. And then blast yourself with it. — Brock Keeling (@BrockKeeling)

I can't wait to see what visual genius unfolds at FOG Design+Art, the four-day festival benefiting the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA). — Chloe Harris (@ChloeH415)
