Election Night Watch Party at Trick Dog


WHAT: Tuesday night, trade in your "I Voted" sticker for a free drink at Trick Dog! The election night party is running all day long, and their current menu "Trick Dog for President" is perfectly suited for the momentous occasion. Watch the election results roll in, and as states are called, special blue (Don Q white rum, blue Curaçao, blueberry, blackberry) and red (pineapple-infused Campari, mellow corn) shots will be available.

O+ Festival in Petaluma

WHAT: Enjoy a roster of local artists, musicians, and community wellness events at this one-of-a-kind festival in Petaluma this weekend. Head down to enjoy live mural painting, bike rides, self-defense classes, live music, and more. Tickets can be purchased on a "pay-what-you-feel-it's-worth" scale.

Art And Craft Beer Festival at Temescal Alley

WHAT: Treat your tastebuds at Interface Gallery's Art and Craft Beer Fest, where four up-and-coming Oakland-based breweries—Temescal Brewing Company, Novel Brewing Company, Federation Brewing Company, and Ale Industries—will be serving up tastes of their freshly brewed beer. The Interface Gallery will also be presenting a pop-up show featuring the works of local artists.

Danny Lyon and Frank Stella Exhibition Openings at the de Young

WHAT: Saturday marks the opening of two big exhibitions at the de Young Museum—one focused on the career of photographer and filmmaker Danny Lyon, and the other on modern art influencer Frank Stella. Both exhibitions are a retrospective look on the artists' expansive careers. Guests can also attend a special screening Friday night of two of Danny Lyon's pieces followed by a discussion and signing with the artist. Get tickets here.

Emoji Conference at Westfield Mall

WHAT: The Oakland Museum of California is celebrating Native American Heritage Month with its third annual Indian Market all weekend long. Shop jewelry, baskets, prints and other modern interpretations of Indian artistry. On Friday night, enjoy a trip to the market as well as half-off museum admission (the Black Panthers 50th Anniversary exhibit is a must-see!) as part of Friday Nights @ OMCA, with Off the Grid food trucks, live music, and more.
