Take a lazy ferry to wine, dine, and sunshine in recently hopping Tiburon.

Tiburon has long been a charming spot but, post-pandemic, the tiny waterfront town has really blossomed.

Main Street is a pulse point for shopping and dining, with a slew of new restaurants that are all destination-worthy and easily accessible from the Tiburon Ferry Terminal. Trust us, brunch becomes a romantic adventure when you arrive by boat from the city.

Frites and more at Petite Left Bank.

The Caviar Co. (46A Main St.) is a great first stop right on the main drag, enticing weekenders to linger for one of six caviar flights or elevated chips and dip, a luxurious herby fantasy topped with a heap of vibrant trout roe. Wash it all down with a glass of bubbly in the Champagne Lounge. // Chef Roland Passot brings his signature restaurant to Tiburon in smaller fashion: Petite Left Bank(1696 Tiburon Blvd) is the spot for moules and crisp frites or a perfect crock of French onion soup. //Bungalow Kitchen(5 Main St.) is a lively collaboration from Michael Mina and Brent Bolthouse’s Bungalow Hospitality Group, located directly across from the Tiburon ferry landing. Once you catch the buzz of the eclectic soundtrack, you'll want to hang out for energy-fueled meals from brunch—which brings San Marzano bloodies and a rolling cart of oyster shooters—all the way to late night on Fridays and Saturdays when a DJ, pool table, and speakeasy vibes dominate upstairs.

The SoCal phenomenon that is Malibu Farm(9 Main St.) has landed in Tiburon. The gleaming two-story space has a coffee shop and an expansive main dining room, and has become a go-to for those in search of giant salads, whole grain pizzas, and seasonal cocktails with a twist. // Up on Ark Row, In Good Taste wine bar (72 Main St.) offers by-the-glass and tasting flight options for those who venture to the upper section of Main Street. You can also find the classic Italian restaurantServino’s(114 Main St.) up here. Opened in 1977, it has recently moved back to its original location and added an enoteca and garden patio next door.

In the summer of 2022, actor Christian Meoli and his wife opened the three-screen movie theater Cinelounge(40 Main St.). With an atypical menu—think natural wines, craft beer, and their own flavored popcorn (try the rosemary salted caramel)—cushy couch seating, and fun design, you may never visit a regular theater again. // Take a 15-minute ferry ride from Tiburon to the island state park known as the Ellis Island of the West. Hike all the way around or grab a tram for a less physical, yet more informative narrated tour. The Angel Island Ferry Company(21 Main St.), female and family owned, runs boats several times a day.
