Summer is a great time getting your heat on. With some wine, that is. Here are five places around town offering great discounts on wines this summer.
One Market, Cupola Pizzeria, and Lark Creek Steak
In July, all Lark Creek locations will be offering bottles of wine at half price, during brunch, lunch, or dinner. So if you’re getting your shopping on while downtown, you know where to go.
Every Tuesday, Café des Amis on Union Street is offering half-off all their bottles of wine. Snag a Francophile companion, as their wine list is heavy on the French options, and includes some excellent bubbly selections. Pop!
The adorable Liberty Cafe in Bernal Heights also offers half-off all bottles of wine all day Tuesdays. It doesn’t stop there, though: if you have little ones of your own, they also serve $4 glasses of prosecco on Sunday nights for those of you dining with children. After a weekend with the wee ones, that might be just what the doctor ordered.
Tuesdays are a good day for the frugal, it turns out. Grab a fellow wine lover and make a trip to Russian Hill on Tuesdays, where Luella is offering all wines by the bottle at half price.
Okay, this one has some food involved, but it’s a good one. Head on over to the bar at the Grand Café, where for a mere $15 you can enjoy a dozen oysters accompanied by a glass of house bubbly. This particular deal is only available at the bar, but you can get it anytime the restaurant is open.
