Azalina Eusope of Azalina’s is bringing her expertise from the streets of Malaysia to the streets of SF with a Malaysian cooking class. The event will be held at La Cocina and costs $65. Tastings include a spicy laksa soup, her lacey crepes, fresh rice noodles, and fried bananas.
Also, the Lee brothers, Dennis, David and Daniel, open Korean-style Namu Gaji by Dolores Park today. Happy hour specials start at 4 p.m., dinner at 6 p.m. And starting at 11 a.m., a take-out window will offer Asian street food, including the Real Korean Taco, which has earned the Lees a loyal following at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market.

It's the season opening day for Mission Community Market at Barlett and 22nd streets. Amongst the produce, meats, and cheeses will be street food, local art, live music, and dancing from artists LoCura and dance group ABADA-Capoeira. Featured vendors include 4505 Meats, Spring Hill Cheese, Arizmendi Bakery, and on select dates, Crème Brûlée Cart.
Also, according to UrbanDaddy, the owners of Bourbon & Branch/Rickhouse are unveiling Local Edition tomorrow on Market Street. Inside the former Examiner publishing floor is a stage for live music and jazz.

The crew at Mission Chinese are serving up a benefit dinner at their Mission Street joint. All proceeds from the eight-course family-style meal will benefit the Asian Women’s Shelter, a group committed to eliminating domestic violence by “promoting the social, economic, and political self-determination of women.” Tickets are $50 a person and can be purchased here.

Rose Pistola is also getting in on the fundraiser game. Enjoy a three-course Italian dinner with Francis Ford Coppola wines at a fundraiser for the North Beach Citizens community organization. It all takes place at the Saints Peter and Paul Church on Washington Square and includes a performance from Beach Blanket Babylon. Sponsorships for the dinner range from $1,500 to $25,000, but individual tickets go for $150.
