The recently opened Bluxome Winery, located in the heart of SOMA, was the first new winery to open in downtown SF in over 100 years. With a passion for the finer things in life, it makes sense that they would want to celebrate the huge array of fantastic, fresh produce surrounding the Bay Area by hosting the monthly Meet Market at their winery. Packed full of local farmers and purveyors peddling their wares, you can be sure to find loads of stands with fresh bread, cheeses, and other locally made gourmet food. There is, of course, also plenty of wine tasting where you can sample some of Bluxome’s best varieties. The market goes from 12-5 p.m. @ Bluxome Winery 53 Bluxome Street.

The promise of some late summer sun makes the idea of being outside with a chilled craft beer and delicious food such an alluring option. This Saturday marks the 15th anniversary of Speakeasy Brewery. With a killer lineup of local food trucks, great bands, and, of course, plenty of fresh $3 beers (including special releases and fan favorites) this promises to be a sterling afternoon in the sun. Entry is free and the festival goes from  2-7 p.m. @ Speakeasy Brewery, 1195 Evans Avenue.

In keeping with the outdoor beer theme, brewtruc and Mo’ Magic are pairing up again to create a charity beer garden. With all proceeds from the day going towards TAY (Transitional Age Youth), which engenders social responsibility and self-determination through cleaning and greening of parks and public space, it's like a great reason to sit back in a beer garden and enjoy some of the finest craft ales in the Bay. Along with beer from the likes of Stone, Ale Industries, Social Kitchen and Anderson Valley, there will also be a home-brew belgian theme throwdown. There will be food trucks to satiate your hunger and live musicn. Tickets cost $25 (you can purchase them here) and include ten 4-oz. pours. From 1-6 p.m. @ 160 Church Street.

Il Cane Rosso and the City College of San Francisco’s Culinary Arts Program are hosting a Fundraising Dinner with proceeds benefiting the financially strapped public culinary program.
