Not every bride-to-be is fortunate to have her own Mindy Weiss (wedding planner to the stars - think Eva Longoria, Jessica Simpson and Avril Lavigne). Nope, sometimes we actually have to plan it ourselves. Which, let's be honest, sometimes sucks.
Enter The Four Seasons. All day on Jan. 18, the luxury hotel will play host to the San Francisco Wedding Fair, where bride-to-bes can sip champagne, listen to the sweet sounds of a string quartet and drink, er, plan away her worries with the help of a panel of professionals.
More than 75 wedding exhibitors will be present, and guests will be treated to a sampling of hors d'oeuvres and the latest trends in wedding cakes. Other highlights include the “Bridal Bar,” a cocktail 101 class offering tips on creating your signature wedding cocktail, “Wedding Trends by the Decades,” a display of wedding styles from the last 130 years and the “Groom’s Lounge,” where brides can deposit their burdensome fiances to drink beer, eat buffalo wings and check the game scores. Nice.
The event runs from 11am till 4pm in the Four Seasons San Francisco ballroom. Valet parking will be available at the hotel at a discounted rate of $20.00 for Wedding Fair guests. Tickets are $28.00 if purchased in advance or $35.00 at the door. To reserve your spot, log onto www.sfweddingfair.com or call 415-986-1141.
