You'll never have to run to the sketchy 24-hour Safeway at midnight ever again.
Our friendly ultra-local grocery delivery service, Good Eggs, has finally answered our prayers: This week, the good samaritan grocers announced they will begin delivering cheap, local, all-natural wines along with your strawberries and sugar-free bacon.
You may already be familiar with Good Eggs for delivering fresh, local, organic food straight to your kitchen with no delivery fee (no more carrying bags full of milk and melty ice cream for 15 blocks). With brands like Prather Ranch Meat Co., Clover, Bi-Rite and Mary's Free Range Chicken, you really can't go wrong. Beginning June 14th, Good Eggs will begin a brand new boozy adventure by adding wine, mead, cider and sake to its service. Starting at $10 a bottle for wine, with at least half of the options coming in at under $15, the offerings are aimed at weeknight enjoyment, a concept you're probably familiar with.
The bulk of the wines on offer have been sourced from Northern California vineyards—think Broc Cellars, Donkey and Goat, Scribe, and Frey—so you know you'll be gulping down a little taste of this place you call home.
So maybe next time you're gazing into your empty refrigerator struggling to figure out your next move and just wish you had a glass of wine to take the edge off, click over to Good Eggs for a Weeknight Dinner Kit, a local rosé, and same-day delivery. Hallelujah!
