Milkbomb(1717 17th St., Potrero Hill) disrupted the old ice cream sandwich by stuffing scoops into a sliced, hole-less doughnut for one delicious sugar bomb. During SIP, the owners of this family-run shop are personally making deliveries to those who text their full name and address to 408-702-5143; the wait can be up to two weeks, but you'll be helping out a small, independent business. Powder(260 Divisadero St., Lower Haight) brought something all new to SF: gourmet, shaved-to-order, fluffy ribbons of icy ice cream. Loving Cup(multiple locations in SF and Marin) takes fro-yo to the next level with interesting flavors and fine fat-free and dairy-free options too. Gott's Roadside(multiple locations Bay Area–wide) may be best known for its delicious burgers, but the soft serve ice cream is one of their best treats.
