Ever stroll by one of the many beautiful homes in the city and think, "hmm, I wonder what that place looks like from the inside"? If so that's pretty creepy, but you're not alone. Yes, we too have such creeptastic thoughts, which is why we're so excited that this week kicks off the beginning of the sixth annual Architecture and the City Festival, held by the San Francisco chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Center for Architecture + Design. What does that have to do with voyeuristic tendencies? Well, along with lectures, a film series, walking tours (some really wonderful programs planned in this category) and exhibits, the festival includes several tours of amazing area homes. You can take a look at the list of them here, as well as catch a sneak peek of a few houses on the provided architect websites. We did a little exploring there and are now giddy over some of the incredibly well-designed homes that will be featured. House tours run the weekend of September 12th, but other festival events start as early as the first of the month. Find out more at the Architecture and the City website.
