If you're an East-Coast transplant bemoaning the lack of snow here during the holidays, here's a little piece of home: There's a winter wonderland right here in San Francisco, next door to the Embarcadero ice skating rink in the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Here, you can drink hot chocolate and watch snow falls three times a day (at 4pm, 6pm and 8 pm) amongst 300,000 sparkling lights.
Add some cocktails to the mix from their daily Holiday Happy Hour at Eclipse Lounge from 5-7 pm and you're set for a warm respite right before hopping on the ice. Check out our guide to ice skating at The Embarcadero (as well as our Look of the Week for ice skating attire).
The snow will be falling through New Year's Eve, so drop by the Hyatt's magnificent atrium filled to get a concentrated dose of Christmas action.
