All summer long the Levi's Mobile Bike Shop has been parading around the country, stopping in select cities to set up a pop-up bike carnival, in celebration of the Commuter Series by Levi's (available at Urban Outfitters). The crew has traveled a long way from NYC, but they're finally here -- the hometown celebration starts this afternoon at Levis HQ.
In true Levi's fashion the event is 100% free (remember how great the Levi's Workshop was?) and will feature plenty of bike fashion, among other cycling amusements. Bring your favorite bike attire to one of the trusted on-site tailors, and have it reinforced, or decked out with reflective tape. You'll also have a chance to get hands-on and DIY your messenger bag to cycling perfection.
Other highlights include: a performance by the Heavy Pedal Cyclecide Bike Rodeo, a human-powered amusement ride, bicycle food carts, a commuter obstacle course, free bike tune and wash, and so much more! Think of this as a pre-party to this weekend's Tour de Fat.
Levi's 511 Commuter Kick Off Party at Levi's HQ(1155 Battery St.), Today, 4pm-7pm, Free
