This week, we're stretching, we're running, we're partying, and we're getting free clean makeovers. Yay!
Run, Lulu, Run!
On Friday, August 18th, head over to Proxy for the Bay Area launch of Lululemon's Test Truck—a chic mini-gym on wheels where shoppers can hop on a treadmill to test-run Lulu gear before they buy—as part of the brand's new More Than Miles campaign. With a DJ and drinks, it'll be a party. Then, watch for the truck to roll up at more locations across the Bay Area through September 1st. // Free to attend; 4-8pm, Aug. 18 at Proxy, 432 Octavia St. (Hayes Valley),facebook.com/events
Restorative Ditch Day
Looking for the chillest possible way to ease into happy hour this Friday? Cow Hollow's The Pad is hosting a two-hour restorative yoga workshop designed to help you unwind and uplift. Led by Amy Naber, the class will be slow enough for absolute beginners but offer stretches deep enough for pros. // $40; 1:30-3:30pm, Aug. 18, at The Pad, 1694 Union St. (Cow Hollow), thepadstudios.com
Stretch & Run
Yogi-runner Chelseah Healey of Love Story Yoga is hosting a stretching for runners workshop at Dolores Park on Sunday, August 19th to tease a new run/yoga series the studio's kicking off in September. The workshop will begin with a stretch, followed by a short one-mile run and then a post-run stretch and Q&A sesh. // Free to attend (BYO mat); 1pm, Aug. 20 at Dolores Park, (Mission), lovestoryyoga.com
Climb On
If your workout routine needs some spicing up, strap into your coolest harness and get ready to party. Planet Granite's annual Bloc Party, sponsored by The North Face, brings competition-style bouldering, raffle prizes and, yes, even booze. // Registration starts at 10am (free for members, $25 for non-members), climbing from 11am to 4pm, Aug. 19; Planet Granite, 924 Old Mason St. (Crissy Field), planetgranite.com/bloc-party
Freshen Up
If you spend enough time eating clean and training dirty, it's easy to forget what makeup even is. Thankfully, Portland's Alima Beauty is sending in their team to give us all free, 20-minute clean beauty makeovers at Credo this Saturday. All products are free of phthalates, sulfates, parabens, synthetic dyes, and all those other nasties that can lurk in big cosmetics brands. Go ahead, get ready for date night. // 11am to 2pm, Aug. 19 at Credo, 2136 Fillmore St. (Pacific Heights), credobeauty.com; register for free at eventbrite.com.
