Comedian Dame Edna, No Doubt drummer Adrian Young, the Jabbawockeez dance crew and designer Tommy Hilfiger were just a few of the headliners who entertained a pack crowd at the Fort Mason Center’s Herbst Pavilion on Sept. 18 at the 26th annual Macy’s Passport HIV/AIDS fundraising gala. While long and lean models shared the catwalk with a host of dazzling entertainers (a Marilyn Monroe impersonator, salsa dancing couples and SF Cheer’s acrobatic troupes, to name a few) the main attraction, of course, was the fashion. Timeless fall staples—from evening gowns and trench coats to crisp suits and denim—dominated this year’s catwalk. Here, a few highlights from the fall collections at Macy’s.
