Last night was the opening gala for Metropolitan Home's Modern by Design show house in Pacific Heights. The place was packed, as in, long line at the door, no room to move inside, pracarious canapè and drink trays slowly crawling through the crowd, ready to tumble at any moment. That said though, it was a blast. We stopped by the house a few days ago as finishing touches were still going into place, so it was nice to see everything completed and looking fabulous. There were killer design details to take away from every room, but our shortlist of must-sees would be the sexy lounge/library designed by Nicole Hollis, Martha Angus and Philip Parton's Sargeant Pepper-style boy's room, and the media room by Erin Martin, which looked to us like an uber-modern Swiss chalet. The show house will be open to the public starting this Saturday (June 20th) and will remain open every weekend from now until July 12th. Tickets are $25 and proceeds benefit the San Francisco Ballet.
