During winter months, we could all use a little extra color. For serious hue help, head to new downtown destination Pigment Cosmetics.
“This is an ideal situation for someone who likes fashion colors with staying power, that’s really the essence, beautiful colors that will last longer,” says company founder Manhal Mansour.
Best known for its long-lasting foundations and eye shadows in on-trend colors plucked from the runways, the 11-year-old company offers a full range of products for lips, eyes and the face. Prices are relatively affordable: $12 for lip gloss, $16 for blush and $15 for a single eye color. Makeup parties and group sessions for bachelorettes, weddings and girls nights out are free with a minimum purchase ($30-$100 per person, depending on event length).
Since opening the company’s first retail location on Market Street in December, the multi-purpose space has become a hub not only for beauty consumers, who come to shop and indulge in the complimentary makeup sessions offered to anyone who pops in the store, but also for professional makeup artists, photographers, fashion designers and stylists. Along with the retail area in front, there’s studio space available to industry professionals for use with clients and private events, as well as regular classes and training sessions for aspiring makeup artists.
Another perk for the busy downtown diva? No appointments are necessary for free makeup sessions.
