Believe it or not, 2014 is quickly coming to a close. So, we rounded up the top 50(!) events around the Bay Area to ensure you kick off 2015 in style.


SAN FRANCISCO

Brava's Comedy Fiesta

The third annual “Brava’s New Year’s Eve Comedy Fiesta” is the Mission's number one New Year’s Eve destination for stand-up comedy lovers, dancing fools, and progressive party animals. Abbot's Cellar

Head to Abbot's Cellar on New Year's Eve for your choice between a 3 or 5 course tasting menu with beer pairings. Chaya Brasserie 

NYE revelers are invited to join the “New Year’s Eve by the Bay” spectacular, complete with live entertainment and a great view of the Bay Bridge fireworks. The Japanese-rooted restaurant hosts two seatings on December 31, during which guests can toast to the new year with Franco-Japanese creations. 5:30pm-10pm, $85-$185, 132 The Embarcadero. Dirty Habit

Avenue Q

Skip the cocktail party small talk and celebrate the New Year with the naughty puppets and delightful songs of the one and only Avenue Q. Twenty Five Lusk

Lusk's lounge—decorated in the spirit of the New Year—will offer party favors and an upbeat modern soundtrack to accompany the four or five course tasting menus. Gitane

One of San Francisco's hidden gems is celebrating New Year’s Eve with a special menu created by new Executive Chef Jason Tuley. The restaurant and bar promises exceptional food and playful cocktails, in addition to one of the largest sherry lists SF has to offer. Be sure to save room for dessert—their Persimmon Olive Oil Cake is exactly how you want to kick off 2015. Men in Suits, Women in Dresses

This New Year's Eve, settle for nothing less than exquisite, and experience the 8th annual Men in Suits Women in Dresses New Years Eve Affair inside the elegant Terra Gallery. Urban Tavern

In addition to serving their regular a la carte breakfast, lunch, dinner and lounge menus, Urban Tavern is hosting a special dinner from 6:30 to 10:30pm featuring a six-course prix fixe menu. Vessel welcomes back Australian house phenom, Hook N Sling for your New Year's celebration. Julia Morgan Ballroom Grand Gala

Passport To The World

Claiming to be the largest upscale NYE party in SF for the last 9 years, Passport to the world boasts 30,000-plus square feet of live bands, DJs, open bars, stilt walkers, and live art. Bar Agricole

Bar Agricole's new chef, Melissa Reitz, has earned praise for her deceptively simplistic cooking. Dinner is family style, so round up your nearest and dearest to partake in the festivities. Monk's Kettle

The evening includes an all-you-can-eat-and-drink menu of the gastropub's extensive draft beer selection, as well as abundant passed plates and platters of gourmet fare. When the countdown hits zero, toast the New Year with a glass of Malheur Brut, a special sparkling beer befitting the Monk's Kettle's status as a revered brew haven. Doc's Lab

San Francisco's homegrown North Beach Brass Band is playing early New Orleans jazz, classic show tunes, and electrified instrumental funk that morphs into a classic Motown soul band. Gaspar Brasserie

The Parisian-inspired eatery has created a 4-course menu including brandy scented poached lobster, traditional holiday white sausage with shaved black truffle, and other decadent dishes. Bobo's Lounge

Farallon

The Warwick San Francisco 

The Warwick is doing NYE the right way with 12 newly renovated guest rooms, celebratory welcome amenities, and exclusive access to The European’s swanky lounge, complete with bubbles and bites. The European

CLIFT

The famed hotel is celebrating its 100th anniversary at the turn of midnight with a red carpet event (black tie optional). Come garbed in your early 1900s finest: the four areas of festivities include a special musical performance by a Billie Holiday tribute and a silent film showcase. Pura

Reggae, salsa, hip hop, and merengue lovers look no further. Luce at the InterContinental San Francisco

Nob Hill Club at InterContinental Mark Hopkins 

Raise a glass to the New Year at the Nob Hill Club at Intercontinental Mark Hopkins. Revel in the Havana Nights themed evening, an homage to PalmHouse's island influences. E&O Kitchen and Bar

Plaj

La Mar Cebichería Peruana

On New Year's Eve La Mar will be serving the regular a la carte menu plus holiday specials. This New Year’s Eve, Skills is proud to present another colorful countdown experience at Oakland’s Oracle Arena. Gather Restaurant

Gather Restaurant in Berkeley will be serving a twist on their regular menu with ocean-inspired specials including local black cod with broccoli di ciccio. Desco

Desco in Old Oakland will be open for dinner serving their regular a la carte menu plus a four-course prix fixe. Highlights include the merengue and dark chocolate mousse with winter fruit salad, tossed in orange liquor. Believe

For the younger crowd, this all-ages music festival provides some New Year's excitement for those not yet able to partake in cocktail events. The event will feature electro, dubstep, and trance artists from around the Bay, as well as a balloon and confetti drop at midnight. plank

Ring in 2015 at Oakland's newest gaming and dining destination – plank. Hopscotch

District in Oakland will be serving a five-course prix fixe menu and a limited a la carte menu for walk-in guests. Ajanta Restaurant

Ajanta Restaurant in Berkeley will be open for lunch from 11:30am to 2:30pm and for dinner from 5:30 to 9:00pm serving their standard menus plus a $28.50 Chef’s Tasting Menu for dinner with three appetizers, four main dishes and sides of rice, naan bread, chutneys, and pickles. Copita Tequileria y Comida
