Escape From Alcatraz Viewing at Pier 39
WHAT: As part of their ongoing 39th anniversary celebrations, Pier 39 hosting an outdoor screening of Escape From Alcatraz starring Clint Eastwood. Blankets are highly recommended, but at least you can print some coupons for hot pretzels and beer to keep you warm.

Sing Along to Silence of the Lambs
WHAT: If you've ever wanted to hear Hannibal Lecter singing about the life he'd like to lead outside his stone prison walls, this is your chance. Silence! The Musical opens this week at the Victoria, featuring a singing chorus of floppy eared lambs, fun pop culture references, and lots of laughs.

Marin Wedding Fair
WHAT: The Mill Valley Community Center will transform into an eye-popping smorgasbord of wedding ideas this weekend for anyone who's got a Big Day in their foreseeable future. Local jewelers, boutiques, florists, DJs, caterers, and photographers will all be on-hand to show off their skills and hopefully land a commitment from more than a few dearly beloveds.

Treasure Island Flea Valentine's Day Market
WHAT: While Treasure Island Flea takes place the last weekend of every month, January's fair is Valentine's Day themed! Peruse through hundreds of local artists, designers, collectors, and antiques, to find the perfect one-of-a-kind gift for your sweetheart this year. Not sure what to get them? "M.Y. China" Cooking Demo & Tasting
WHAT: Join renowned chef Martin Yan at the Ferry Plaza's CUESA classroom (under the white tents in front of the building) for a cooking demo and tasting. Chef Yan will cook with seasonal ingredients from the farmer's market and onlookers will learn all about Chinese cuisine—which is surprisingly easy to cook!
