Curious what's going on under the Big White Top next to AT&T Park? The newest show from Cavalia, Odysseo is bringing magic to South Park (and we're not a talking about the kind involving Hunter Pence).
The moment you step under the Big White Top (as large as an NFL football field), you'll be blown away by the sheer size and magnitude of Odysseo. 65 horses of 11 different breeds from around the world come together with 45 human artists (riders, acrobats, aerialists, dancers, and musicians) to put on one of the best shows happening in San Francisco right now. Family members of all ages will be amazed by the daredevil aerial and ground acrobatics occurring simultaneously as brightly-costumed riders perform tricks on their horses or let the ponies ride uninhibited across the stage. Most of the time, horses are completely free on stage, with trainers that are communicating only through body language and their soft voice commands.
The variety of the acts is astonishing as the horses and riders effortlessly switch between riding styles, settings, and moods. One of the most exciting portions of the two-hour show involves a real carousel being lowered down from the "sky" as acrobats perform gravity-defying spins on the rotating poles.
Why not make a night of it? Those who opt for the VIP experience will have access to the VIP tent before and after the show and will be treated to a buffet dinner of tasty Mediterranean entrees and sides. All the popcorn and Prosecco you need for a good time can also be taken with you into the white tent during the show. During intermission, the VIP tent comes alive again with coffee and dessert options galore. After the performance, guests are treated to a stable tour, where you'll get the chance to take a selfie with your favorite performing horse (or human).
