On July 19th, the best of the Bay Area’s special events industry professionals gathered for the 10th Annual ISES-NCC Gala at the Bently Reserve. The Annual Gala is the International Special Events Society / Northern California Chapter's biggest fundraiser of the year and allows the organization to provide its members with outstanding programs and education. The Other Side of Midnight…took guests on a magical journey through the Olde Grimm Fairy Tales. Blueprint Studios and reFRACTion transformed the lobby of the Reserve into the enchanted forest, complete with Trumpeters, courtesy of Bay Music & Entertainment, Little Red Riding Hood and the Big Bad Wolf, courtesy of Fire Pixie, Sleeping Beauty and Prince Charming, courtesy of Cast of Thousands and Soundscapes, courtesy of Rudolfi Music Agency. Natalie Bowen Designs and Ricardo Ramirez Floral Design completed the look with their beautiful floral accents. Guests were treated to delicious appetizers from Elaine Bell Catering, Global Gourmet Catering and Organic Chef Catering and beverages from Best Beverage Catering and Silvertap Wines, while bidding on an array of fabulous silent auction items.
The fairy tale continued as guests headed into the Banking Hall, where linens from Napa Valley Linens, tabletop furnishings from Classic Party Rentals, scenic props from Method 42 Productions and lighting from Got Light? transported guests to the castle ballroom for dinner. The Naughty Minstrels, courtesy of Associated Entertainment Consultants, kept guests entertained as they dined on a meal fit for a king and queen. The gorgeous florals were provided by Floral Ornament, Floramor Studios, Michael Daigian Design, Natalie Bowen Designs, Savage Rose and Soulflower Floral Design. A wonderful four course dinner was provided by Paula Le Duc Fine Catering, Componere Fine Catering, Small Potatoes Catering and Events and Taste Catering & Event Planning.
The 2010-2011 Heart & Soul Awards were presented to the following deserving members: President's Award: Valerie Hopple, Programs & Education Leadership Award: Neil Adams, Membership Leadership Award: Jamie Snively, Communications Leadership Award: Ryann Sims.
