Unfortunately, due to the rainy forecast, the SF SPCA has been forced to cancel the Be Mine cocktail party on Friday, February 6th. Although they're thrilled that San Francisco is finally getting some much needed rain, the timing couldn't have been worse for an outdoor party. Thank you to everyone who planned on attending. The SF SPCA will be rescheduling this event and are already looking at possible new dates for this summer. Stay tuned for updates!
The SF SPCA will still be waiving all adoption fees February 6th - 8th. Stop by either of the adoption centers this weekend, and they'll help you find the purr-fect furry Valentine! Click here to view the adoptable animals.
Looking for a special someone for Valentine's Day cuddles? If you like the idea of finding a life-long companion while you enjoy cocktails, a catwalk, and tattoos, put this party on your event calendar! You're officially invited to San Francisco SPCA's 4th Annual "Be Mine" party and adopt-a-thon. This year's bash, Cats, Tats & Cocktails, will treat guests to a fashion show, (real!) tattoo pop-up shop, hosted cocktail bar, and delicious vegan/vegetarian bites, all while meeting the SF SPCA's adorably adoptable animals. All adoption fees for cats and dogs will be free during the event and throughout the weekend.
Get a front row seat at the 7pm catwalk show (pun totally intended), featuring celebrity designer Claire Farwell and her completely vegan looks for the red carpet. Models will strut their stuff during the show, including the designer herself as well as local fashion icon and photographer Moanalani Jeffrey. Luxury handbag designer Jill Milan (beloved by Jennifer Lawrence and Anne Hathaway) will have her Italian-made, cruelty-free designs on display, and local retailer Betabrand will show off their funky collections. And don't miss the always-bold stylings of Dogs-n-Ties! Four-legged fashionistas will love Scutte apparel for dogs, Yap Wraps, and more. The star of the pet accessories segment, Tuna of @TunaMeltsMyHeart fame, will make a special appearance on the catwalk and at the WagAware booth.
Looking for some new ink? Mark the occasion with body art by the best in the city. Famed tattoo artist Danny Boy Smith of Let It Bleed Tattoo Parlor will be on site to ink guests throughout the evening—tattoos are only $40. Guests will also have the chance to rock out to DJ Proof and live music, including local favorites Taxes and Sit Kitty Sit!
If you can’t make it Friday night, the party continues with the Be Mine Adopt-A-Thon through the weekend. To celebrate our furry friends at this time of year, the SF SPCA will be waiving adoption fees through Sunday, February 8. So come fall in love with your very own furry Valentine.
