Just the thought of constant change in life might be daunting to some, but not to Collage Gallery owner Delisa Sage. In fact, the new Collage clothing boutique she opened next door to the Potrero Hill home décor and art gallery she’s owned for the last 18 years hinges on that very idea.
“The whole concept of the store is to have it change constantly,” says Sage, whose shop highlights the notion with a window mannequin donning a different look each day.
Settling into the boutique space formerly home to designer Robin Brouillette over the weekend, Sage’s second shop houses an ever-changing assortment of new, vintage and locally-made finds such as apparel by Weston Wear, The Weekend Store typewriter key jewelry, clothing of recycled materials by Erica Skone-Reese, wovens by Ruth Hawkins and clothing and accessories by Caraucci. Good condition vintage items will also hang from the racks, as well as shoes, handbags, aprons and cozy scarves.
The most expensive items in the shop will hover around the $400 mark, but Sage tells us much is priced far lower, with a plentiful supply of goods and sale items for under $25.
“I want it to be that you can come in and find a treasure and not break the bank,” Sage says.
Collage Clothing, 1331 18th St, is open daily from 11 am-7 pm.
