A year and a half after the beloved comedian's death, Robin Williams' Napa estate, Villa Sorriso, has finally sold for $18.1 million.
Williams listed the estate for the first time in 2012, asking $35 million, but was unable to find a buyer. It was listed again in 2014 at $29.9 million, and after his death in August 2014, it appeared on the market for $25.9 million.
Custom built for Williams in 2003, the 24,000-square-foot villa has five bedrooms, six-and-a-half bathrooms, a home theater, art gallery, library, climate-controlled wine cellar, and an elevator to hoist you to your destination.
And, it's got killer outdoor amenities: a 65-foot long infinity pool; a 24-acre cabernet sauvignon vineyard; horse stalls for your equine friends; a tennis court; a pond for romantic rowboat picnics; and hiking trails for miles. Oh, and there's also a 3,200-square-foot guest house for the in-laws. This all sits on 653 acres of land in the Mayacamas mountains, between Napa and Sonoma.
The estate sold this week to French winemaking family of Alfred and Melanie Tesseron, who plan to make wines in the style of their native Bordeaux.
