You have two chances to fangirl over DVF—at a weekend pop-up in Los Altos and at an intimate chat at the Hivery's new San Francisco location.

Plus, Hayes Valley welcomes Stockholm-based furniture brand Hem, Zero + Maria Cornejo and brunch by Cala's chef are on Sabah House's weekend agenda, Patricia Nash celebrates turning 10 at Macy's, and Thelma's new ankle boot kicks ass.

No need to drive to Ikea, SF-ers...Hem's here.

For the first time ever, Stockholm-based design brand Hem ("home" in Swedish) has set up shop in San Francisco. The month-long pop-up in Hayes Valley showcases a range of new and iconic pieces—seating, tables, lighting and accessories. Hem is all about uncomplicated, quality and reasonably priced designs, which are made in collaboration with a cool group of global designers. Popular items include the Kumo sofa by Anderssen & Voll, Last stool by Max Lamb, and Hai chair by Luca Nichetto. The store will be open through December 2nd. // 149 Gough St. (Hayes Valley), us.hem.com

Now's your chance to get up close and personal and styled by the legendary designer and all-around amazing human Diane von Furstenberg. On November 9th and 10th, the inventor of the wrap dress, along with fresh pieces from her Fall and Winter collections, will be hanging in Los Altos, marking the first Cali pop-up for the DVF label this year. If meeting the Belgium-born icon is on your bucket list, show up Saturday morning (doors open at 10am) when she's slated to speak about her current projects and share her stylist's eye with shoppers. There will also be a monogramming station onsite for personalizing your chic goodies. Can't make it to Santa Clara? You can still catch the grand dame herself on Monday, November 11th at the new SF Hivery space in Fort Mason (2 Marina Blvd.). DVF will be speaking at 12:30pm about all things fashion, women's empowerment, mentorship and more; from 11am to 5pm, a pop-up shop with brand stylists will take over the space. Tickets are $30 for non-Hivery members. // Pop-up hours 10am–6pm Saturday, 11am–6pm Sunday; 359 State Street (Los Altos),dvf.com

Sabah House's upcoming pop-up is going to be extra spicy.

Haight Street's newish footwear store-slash-community space is hosting a double dose of deliciousness, including fab fashions and eats, on Saturday and Sunday, November 9 and 10. NY designer Maria Cornejo will be in the house. Naturally, she's bringing pieces from her new Zero + Maria Cornejo Resort collection, featuring eco-friendly denim and brushed terry styles. (ICYMI, the label—a fave of Michelle Obama and a bevvy of boldface types—is known for its sophisticated, simple, and timeless aesthetic.) But that's not all folks: On Saturday from 2pm to 7pm, chef Gabriela Camara of Cala will be joining Z+MC to throw a brunch celebrating the flavors of Mexico City. Handmade tortillas will be cooked up in the backyard; tacos, ceviche, veggie tostadas and Mezcal margaritas will be served. All you have to do? Show up hungry. // 663 Haight St. (Lower Haight), shop.sabah.am

Head-over-heels alert: we just discovered your new favorite fall booties.

(Courtesy of Thelma)

Our latest boot crush comes courtesy of Thelma, a luxe footwear label based in Charleston. The brand used to be loafer-centric, but that all changed recently when designer/founder Amanda Greeley debuted an ankle boot ($428). It's handmade in Italy of triple-dyed suede (the antidote for fading over time) and constructed to last. The biggest issue is choosing a color (they're all so good). You'll find three gorgeous neutrals (Sienna, Cubano, and Wheat) and two vibrant jewel tones, Forest and Midnight. Our favorite thing, though, is the signature bloc heel—it's hand-carved in a warm cognac hue and at 1.5 inches is super comfortable and hill-ready. Bottom line, we haven't been this excited about a Thelma since, ya know, Geena Davis. // Check out the brand for yourself IRL at Re-Store ( 120 Maiden Lane) or shop online,shopthelma.com

Patricia Nash turns 10, has a party at Macy's Union Square.

Tennessee designer Patricia Nash and her namesake handbag, footwear and jewelry label have been around for nearly a decade. To celebrate the milestone, PN is holding a celebration and fashion event at Macy's Union Square on Saturday, November 9 (2pm to 4pm). Nash will be in attendance and is beyond excited to share her new holiday styles inspired by "a lovely village in Italy, close to the French Border." Along with shopping, sips and nibbles are on tap. There's also an opportunity to enter a contest—the winner and a plus-one will receive flights and accommodations for a visit to Nashville, tickets to the Grand Ole Opry, and exclusive signed items from the holiday collection.
