For our second installment of "Scenes from the City," we documented the citywide New Year's fitness resolution craze. Check out SF shaping up after the holidays, shedding those pounds and enjoying the outdoors. Here are photos from some of the city's favorite workout spots: Crissy Field, Golden Gate Park, Bad Joe's Body Shop, Planet Granite, and fit Bernal fit.
Enjoy.

Saturday morning at Bad Joe's means crunches and sweat in the Kiss My Ass class.
A Giants fan enjoys a quiet moment after a bike ride to reflect on the city skyline at Point Fort, just under the Golden Gate Bridge.
Dogs like to get fit too. A dog walker leads the pack on Spreckels Lake in Golden Gate Park.
Here are a couple scenes from Crissy field, a roller blader making his way east along the paved multi-use byway and a lone runner catching a run in the setting sun. The center image is a scene from Bad Joe's Body Shop, students enjoying a stretch before a yoga class.
Here's "Coyote" striking a pose on a treadmill at fit Bernal fit. No, dogs are not allowed on the treadmills. But the gym does have doggy care.
Planet Granite offers the full gamut of climbing options: from bouldering walls (pictured here) that don't require harnesses to building-high walls where climbers can scramble all the way to the roof.
A jet skiier speeds across an open expanse SF Bay. Photographed from the Golden Gate Bridge.
Spreckels Lake in Golden Gate Park offers a great place to relax in the sun or get your model boat into the water.
If you want an added challenge, try running on the beach. You'll be feeling the difference after a couple miles.
A couple scenes from Bad Joe's Body Shop: leg exercises with the wall mounted spring track and some inspirational workout material. In the center image is one of the many giant walls at Planet Granite.
A young girl enjoys the outdoors by dancing around and dodging waves on the beach near Crissy Field.
Tune in next week for photos and profiles of SF's street performers.
