Ah yes, Super Bowl Sunday is coming up quickly, and it’s like the entire city is conspiring to get you fat and drunk (well, except Mayor Ed Lee). Whether you’re looking for a spot where you can hang out with your fellow fans and yell at the TV with your mouth full of nachos (sorry, Mom), or are looking for ways to supply your house party with the finest spread possible, we’ve got you covered.
Where to Watch the Game Out (While You Drink and Stuff Your Face)
Pete’s Tavern and Pedro’s Cantina (the largest sports bar in San Francisco) can hold 1,000 sports fans between them, and have 22 flat-screen TVs. Whoa. And yes, there’s a menu full of wings, bacon-wrapped dogs, nachos, and more.
Jasper’s Corner Tap & Kitchen will not only be pouring you delicious cocktails, but there will be a number of well-priced beer and food specials, like three kinds of sliders ($2 each), a Kobe dog ($5), and chicken wings ($5). There are four TVs in the bar area.
The fine folks at Dalva (3121 16th St.) in the Mission won’t let you go hungry: They’re hosting Tango & Stache from 12–6 pm, who will be serving their infamous Flaco’s Nachos (handmade duck fat tortilla chips, Wild Turkey 101–braised pulled pork, vermouth baked beans, smoked provolone Mornaise, Wild Turkey Rye–pickled jalapeños, and a cilantro lime salsa verde) for $9. (Shaved Lipitor is extra.)
Also in the Mission: Nombe ups the ante by showing the Super Bowl on their projector, and will be offering drink and food specials throughout the game, like yakitori and other kushiyaki (skewered items), and, of course, their Nombe chicken wings.
Bin 38 in the Marina is hosting a Super Bowl party with plenty of TVs; it’s $55 all-inclusive for a buffet and beverages (details here–tickets are moving fast). Doors at 1 pm.
Staying Put and Partying at Home
Restaurants all over the city are offering special Super Bowl food options to go (and some spots offer delivery–or if you're stuck at home waiting for the keg to be delivered, you can try a delivery service like Postmates, TCB Courier, LuckyBolt, and others).
Buttermilk fried chicken, smoked andouille jambalaya, spicy chicken wings, and more. Visit their web site and download the form under, you guessed it, "Downloads.”
Another tasty Southern option for you to consider, with Southern fried chicken ($21), their famed duck and sausage jambalaya ($11/$21), fried seafood po’boys (catfish $14, shrimp $15, oyster $18), and more. Call to place your take-out order: 415-430-6590.
Get a bucket of their fried chicken and sides to go for $25. Buckets can be pre-ordered starting this Friday, February 1st at 5 pm and all day Saturday and Sunday by calling the restaurant at 415-863-3061.

You can pick up a party portion of their PSC Classic Dungeness Crab Mac ‘n Cheese ($24), available to-go up until halftime.
Sometimes there’s nothing like some home cookin’. Joanna Karlinsky has put together a seriously special Super Bowl menu, including her famous chili, plus wings, deviled eggs, tater tots, and risotto fritters. Pick some up for your par-tay.
This is a great deal: For $22, you can pick up a bag with pork bacon chili, cornbread, mini bone marrow burgers, fried chicken, ribs, and more, with enough to feed two people (heck, I'm tempted to order one just for me). You have to pick up the order on Friday (2/1) or Saturday (2/2) as bags are limited.
Those boys are getting crazy with options like foot-long challah subs, pastrami deviled eggs, and more. And they deliver!
