How many articles/surveys/polls/stats do we all read these days about the increasingly horrid cost of living in the Bay Area and about San Franciscans' mounting disenchantment with the city?

And then on how many evenings, whether during our commute home from work or while walking out to the bars, do we catch a glimpse of the most exquisite, candy-hued sunset, breathe it in, and think...this. This is why we hang our hats here.
