Remember the ridiculous lines for Missoni x Target? Or maybe you heard about how Target.com crashed from the overload of fashionistas looking to get their manicured hands on a coveted piece from the zig-zaggy collection. We're hoping this Sunday's new launch won't be quite as bad, but we'd camp out just in case -- especially for these limited edition pieces from SF's very own, the Curiosity Shoppe.
This Sunday, the fall installment of The Shops at Target will launch at all Target stores and online, revealing collections by: Kirna Zabete NY, Odin New York, Patch NYC, and -- representing the West Coast -- the Curiosity Shoppe.
The local boutique's co-owner, Lauren Smith, called it "a dream project." She says her favorite piece from the collaboration is the badass America Cutting Board (#2).
Smith and her hubby, Derek Fagerstrom, left NYC back in '07 and opened the Curiosity Shoppe in the Mission (early pinoeers of the Valencia corridor).
Their Target collection is inspired by two of their greatest loves: road trips and all things whimsical. The result is a kitschy, vintage-hotel-meets-classic-diner collection of kitchenwares, decor, crafts and other curiosities, ranging from $3-$30.
Above is a little teaser of the nearly 60-piece collaboration that definitely warrents skipping Sunday brunch lines, renting Zipcars, and queueing up at Target. (Is it too early for holiday shopping?)
