SF's Obscura Digital Projects Endangered Animals onto the Empire State Building

The Empire State Building was transformed into a beacon for change last weekend as a series of endangered animals were projected onto the face of the iconic building.

The heart-wrenching light show "Projecting Change" was a partnership between Travis Threlkel, Chief Creative Officer at San Francisco based Obscura Digital, and the filmmakers behind The Cove, a documentary about the treatment of dolphins in Japan.

The interactive design team created 40-story high monarch butterflies, tigers, whales, and manta rays Saturday night to raise awareness for endangered animals worldwide.
