It's lucky number seven for Clare V: The modern L.A.-based handbag label with Parisian flavor and reasonable prices has officially christened its first San Francisco store on Linden Street (you can celebrate your first purchase with a Gibraltar at Blue Bottle). Ridiculously charming (it shares a garden with Steven Alan), the space makes an ideal backdrop for founder (and former Bay Area resident) Clare Vivier's covetable leather clutches, weekenders and wallets. (We're stalking this little guy.) Shoppers will also discover a smattering of sunnies, ceramics, jewelry and other goodies by some of Ms. V.'s favorite makers. PSA: Freda Salvador Sample Sale This Saturday
Shoe addicts, this is one Public Service Shoe Announcement to heed: Loved local footwear brand Freda Salvador is holding its famous kick-ass sample sale on Saturday, July 15 at the General's Residence in Fort Mason. Modern Citizen Goes Brick-and-Mortar
Today, the doors swing open onModern Citizen's new Union Street digs. The three-year-old digital-first brand with Zara-like vibes has often opened its Cow Hollow studio, located around the corner, by appointment and for special events over the years. But this is the retailer's first bona fide storefront. And, naturally, it's cause for much celebration for both CEO/founder Jess Lee and the hardcore fans who can't get enough of the label's affordable minimalist staples.
