Come spring, it’ll be much easier to enjoy a fling with Bryna Nicole, thanks to mini versions of the San Francisco label’s most popular handbags and the arrival of studded coin purses, signature cuffs and leather bracelets.
Among the downsized styles are smaller takes on the celeb-beloved Bartol and the versatile Bay Bag, which can be worn traditionally, secured around the waist or carried as a clutch. But don’t worry, the big picture for the line remains the same.
“Function and style are always my inspirations, urban women who go, go, go. And in particular, this palette was inspired by just a gut feeling that blue is going to be the new purple for 2010,” says designer Bryna McMills, whose debut collection of bags launched in 2006 and has since found its way into major retailers such as Nordstrom and the good graces of high-profile fans such as Paris Hilton, Jessica Szohr and Khloe Kardashian.
Available next year, the latest collection ($55 and up) features leather accessories in go-anywhere neutral hues such as latte, caramel and black alongside pops of color in blue, mandarin orange and metallics.
In the meantime, there are deals to be had from previous collections in the label’s online shop, among them a holiday party-appropriate Hallam clutch in metallic lambskin leather for $99 (reg. $170).
