Although San Francisco summer's aren't the toastiest around, the Stern Grove Festival's annual season is enough to get us outside under the towering eucalyptus trees. The 2011 free outdoor concert lineup was just announced, and it's so good we're already planning how many bottles of champagne to pack!
Who are we most excited to see? Kicking things off on June 19th is a sure-to-be explosive performance by Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings (they might just shake the leaves off the trees), followed by the genre-bending Jazz Mafia Symphony's mash up of jazz, funk, hip hop, and electronica on June 26th. Neko Case and The Dodos' will be the perfect pre-party to 4th of July weekend. And we can't forget 2-tone ska masters The English Beat on July 17th and the caramel-toned vocals of Aaron Neville.
