Tartine Manufactory Opens Wednesday
The day has finally arrived: Tartine's long-waited second outpost, Tartine Manufactory, is officially open. Housed in the Heath Ceramics Tile Factory, you can expect an expanded array of delicious bread products, including a new liege-style waffle, donuts, breakfast sandwiches, salads, and more. Best of all: you no longer have to wait until 4:30pm to get their delicious bread—it'll be available all day, everyday. // Open daily, 595 Alabama St. (Mission), tartinebakery.com
Buffalo Theory Opens in Russian Hill
Buffalo Theory, a new craft beer-focused restaurant and bar, opened last week in Russian Hill. The menu includes about 30 craft beers on tap in addition to a selection of small plates, crafted by Chef Tim Luym, that are meant to be shared. We can't wait to try the crispy adobo wings and aranchino, a Chinese take on fried risotto balls using sticky rice and Chinese sausage as the filling. Yum. // Open daily, 1735 Polk St. (Russian Hill), buffalotheorysf.com
Mosu Debuts New 15-Course Menu
Mosu, the kaiseki-style dining experience from French Laundry and Benu alum Sung Anh, debuted a new 15-course menu this week. Chef Anh draws inspiration from his upbringing in Seoul, Korea with dishes such as short rib with pear and Korean pepper and A5 wagyu beef with house fermented bean paste. Expect him to also tap into other Asian influences, with ingredients such as grapefruit, goji berry, ginger, and Thai basil littered throughout the menu. // Open Tues.–Sat. 5:30-9pm, 1552 Fillmore St. (Fillmore), mosusf.com
Lord Stanley Is the Third Best New Restaurant in America
Bon Appetit Magazine released their annual Hot 10 list of America's best new restaurants yesterday, and Russian Hill's very own Lord Stanley topped the list at number three. BA editors were particularly smitten with the restaurant's cipolline onion petals and the grilled trumpet mushrooms. Better start lining up now if you want to try it for yourself. // Open Tues.–Sat. 5:30-10pm, 2065 Polk St. (Russian Hill), bonappetit.com
