Pride sees some of the best DJs from around the nation descend upon San Francisco for 2 full days of epic partying and debauchery. Here are some of the best DJ parties happening over the Pride weekend.
Friday, June 22
Bearracuda Pride
Get loud and sweaty at Public Works while dancing the night away to the sounds of DJ Ted Eiel, the Dial Up Crew, Doc Sleepy, and many more legendary names. Migrate from the bar to the dance floor as the night progresses. There will be dirty electronic beats all night in the main room and some indie tunes upstairs. With 800 people attending last year, this year promises to be equally as busy. Therefore, it's probably best to purchase tickets early from here ($10). From 9pm - 3am @ Public Works, 161 Erie Street.
Saturday, June 23
Bootie SF
Just for Pride, Bootie is putting on a Lady Gaga vs. Madonna Night. Resident DJs, A Plus D, as well as house band Smash-Up Derby, will pay tribute to both the current and classic queens of pop as they play Gaga and Madge mashups throughout the night. Both divas will collide with anybody and everybody - no genre, era, or artist is safe. There will also be a Lady Gaga and Madonna look alike contest (awesome!) with a cash prize of $200. 9pm onwards @ DNA Lounge, 375 Eleventh Street.
Colossus
Featuring DJs Paulo and Hector Fonseca with a live performance by Wynter Gordon, Colossus is a sure to be a colossal night of dancing and mayhem. Starting at 10pm, the music keeps playing until well after the sun is up at which point you can stumble outside and begin your Sunday walk of shame. Matinee rock star DJ Theresa will also make an appearance along with many more fabulous artists. If you are up for it, this promises to be the biggest party in town. Tickets are 50 dollars presale and can be purchased here. 10pm - 8am @ Sound Factory, 525 Harrison Street.
(p)RIDE Party
Ships in The Night, Stay Gold, & Party Hole come together again to bring San Francisco the 3rd annual Dyke March after party: An epic event of babeliness and excess. Taking over the entirety of Public Works, it is going to be two whole floors of pussy popping and booty dropping. A lineup of all-queer DJ’s (BootyKlap, Durt, Pink Lightening, and more), Go-Go dancers, performers, and artists are creating a Pink Saturday utopia where queens will shake their pom poms, kings will swish their stuff, and the unholiest queer honeys will take the night. Tickets are $10. From 9pm - 3am @ Public Works, 161 Erie Street.
COCKBLOCK
Celebrate Pride at the place to be for lezzies, lovers and friends. Head on over to Cockblock for the Dyke March After Party and their biggest night of the year. DJs Chelsea Starr, Natalie Nuxx, and DJ Kidd Sysko will be keeping the crowd entertained into the early hours of the morning. Boasting two different levels, there will be a huge mix of music, from the filthiest dubstep downstairs to some floor-shakin’ beats above. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased here. From 9pm @ Rickshaw Stop, 155 Fell Street.
Sunday, June 24
Hard French Hearts Los Homos
This is Hard French’s second year of Pride celebrations, and it 's guaranteed to be an inter-generational extravaganza as they pay homage to SOUL music roots. Regular fixings, such as sweating it out to hours of your favorite 45’s from our resident DJs Brown Amy & Carnita, as well as smoking-hot dance moves from the Jiggalicious Dance Babes will be in full force. Living legend Sugar Pie De Santo will be tearing up the main stage along with indie/queer/weirdo SSION. During the day, there’ll also be the infamous “6 clubs in 6 hours”, bringing you sets by some of the hottest queer DJs from San Francisco and up and down the west coast. Tickets cost between $25 - $60 and can be purchased here. From 4pm - 11pm @ SOMarts Cultural Center, 934 Brannan Street.
