The Best S'mores in San Francisco

The Best S'mores in San Francisco

By

I't's National S'mores Day! In celebration, we rounded up the most creative, impressive, and tasty versions of the graham cracker-marshmallow-chocolate concoction across the city to prove why s'mores are worthy of love outside of a campfire.

Do S'more

This San Francisco-based company serves their s'mores with a side of good karma—20% of your purchase goes to a non-profit organization. You can find their original, caramel, or s'mint s'mores sold at Bay Area coffee shops like Philz in San Francisco or Roy's Station Coffee and Tea in San Jose. // dosmore.com

Recchiuti Confections

Pick up your very own S'mores Kit at one of this confectioner's San Francisco locations. It comes with nine handmade vanilla bean marshmallows, eight graham crackers, and a bittersweet chocolate bar—enough for four s'mores sandwiches or eight open-faced beauties. // 1 The Embarcadero, #30, recchiuti.com

Velvet Cantina

S'mores. Nachos. Seriously, what more can we say than the fact that these are inventive, incredible, and downright delicious? We'll take three orders, please. // 3349 23rd Street (at Mission), velvetcantina.com

Shulzies Bread Pudding

You read that right, this Hayes Valley shop is completely dedicated to bread pudding. The "S'more for Me!" flavor is one of their rotating options. A must-try if you see it being scooped that day. // 364 Hayes (at Gough), schulziesbreadpudding.com

Dandelion Chocolate

This small-batch chocolate shop on Valencia has some of our favorite sweets in the city, including the Papau New Guinea S'more. We especially love how the fluffy, toasted-marshmallow center is topped by melted chocolate, and supported by a graham cracker. (Pst, it was also featured in 7x7's Big Eat 2014.) // 740 Valencia (at 18th Street), dandelionchocolate.com

Candybar

Candybar certainly lives up to its name as its home to some of the city's top desserts. One of the best is their S'mores Tart, which includes salted caramel, chocolate ganache, and a homemade marshmallow. // 1335 Fulton (at Divisadero), candybarsf.com

Simply Mochi

If you think mochi is all green tea and vanilla, you're in for a wonderful awakening at Simply Mochi. This shop serves up some of the most inventive flavors we've seen of mochi—including the s'mores, a creamy chocolate mochi wrapped around marshmallows and graham cracker crumble. // simplymochi.com

The Creme Brulee Cart

Basically, the creme brulee cart is responsible for making all of our sugary dreams come true. Their s'mores flavor comes topped with burnt marshmallows, cinnamon graham crackers, and a chocolate. // 3338 24th Street (at Mission), thecremebruleecart.com

Cako

Cupcake bakery Cako turns s'mores inside out with their Campfire Stuft Cupcake, a vanilla cake stuffed with chocolate ganache and cinnamon streusel, topped with a toasted marshmallow meringue. // 135 4th Street (at Mission), cako.com

Claudine

French eatery Claudine has s'mores at the top of their dessert menu. Located in the Financial District, this is our favorite destination for an after-work treat. // 8 Claude Lane (at Bush), myclaudine.com

Stones Throw

With a dessert menu based on "everyone's childhood favorites," Stone's Throw's Campfire S'mores will bring you back to the days of fire-roasted marshmallows and melted chocolate around the campfire. // 1896 Hyde (at Green), stonesthrowsf.com

Sauce

Both of Sauce's San Francisco locations have their signature Mini S'mores on the dessert menu. A twist on the original, this dessert comes with graham cracker cups filled with molten Ghiradelli chocolate and topped with toasted homemade marshmallows. // 131 Gough (at Oak); 56 Belden Place (at Pine), saucesf.com
