Restaurants come and go, chefs change (and signature dishes suffer the consequence) and bartenders move around like musical bar stools, but TheBig Eat SF—100 Things to Eat & Drink Before You Die—must go on! We're ramping up for our February food issue upon when the reconsidered and revitalized Big Eat 2010 will be released.
But before we do, we've decided to open the flood gates with a call for your suggestions, which are invaluable when it comes to this kind of opinionated eating. Check out the comments from last year's post to get some inspiration.
So starting now, for the month of November, we'll be accepting your suggestions in the comment box below. Think the roast chicken at Zuni is overrated? Love the tacos at El Cachanilla? Drink way too many of the Bloody Marys at Foreign Cinema? Tell us what dishes and drinks to get rid of and what to replace them with. Please take into consideration that the Big Eat is made up of things that you'll (almost) always find on these restaurants' menus. We're looking for the iconic, whether or not it's from a dive or a four-star restaurant.
Finally, we know some of you that have made the Big Eat into a bit of an obsession, posting your trials and tribulations on Facebook, hosting dinner parties around it and generally overeating on our behalf. Please let us know if you're one of them. We'd love to interview you to possibly be featured in the Feburary issue. Email me at sara@7x7mag.com and let's talk!
