Slicked-out tiny prefabs and cottages have got people looking at sheds in a whole new way, thinking beyond the old rundown backyard tool shack to new, modern mini-buildings that take up little square footage while being able to fulfill one's unique living space needs. In The Tiny Shed Challenge, taking place at Flora Grubb this weekend, architecture firm Boor Bridges will show just how far imagination can take you with site-specific designs developed "to fall under the no-permit required guidelines for San Francisco" - meaning these things can go off the grid. The event is happening this Sunday, the 27th at 11 AM, and tickets are $15 for American Institute of Architects members, or $25 for the rest of us.
