Feast of Words: A Literary Potluck
A monthly event where foodies, lit enthusiasts, and writers come together to eat, write, and share. Bring a dish to share, and if you are so inclined, a dish that speaks to this month’s theme – a nod to the holidays – appropriately dubbed “Naughty or Nice.” Discover Bay Area-based poet and 2012 Lambda Literary Fellow Nic Alea, who will read from his new chapbook, “All Trees, No Pianos.”

Judy Collins with the San Francisco Symphony
Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Judy Collins will be performing with the SF Symphony for a special holiday performance. You’ll be treated to Collins’ greatest hits as well as special holiday songs delivered in Collins’ signature style.

The Mother Hips
Under-the-radar indie pioneers The Mother Hips will be in town for two days at the Great American Music Hall. Expect great Americana storytelling and California-burnished rock at its finest.

Forage Kitchen’s Last-Ever Underground Market
Forage SF Founder Iso Rabbins and SOMArts will be hosting the final Underground Market, and they’re going out with a bang. A number of the original vendors will return to celebrate the success and renown they achieved since the Underground Market first launched in 2009. Come to the day market to purchase locally made gifts, and stay for the night market to enjoy music and sample food and drinks.

Comedy
'Twas the Night Before Sketchfest
For those who are looking to escape the Hallmark presentation of the holidays, we present the people who bring you the San Francisco Comedy Festival. SF Sketchfest showcases The Good (Emmet Otter; Elf), The Bad (Bad Santa) and The Humbug (Scrooged) in a full day of offbeat holiday movie screenings.

WinterSalt Music Festival and Streets of San Francisco NYE
Celebrate the New Years Eve weekend in style. The Fort Mason Festival Pavilion will play host to the two-day music and arts WinterSalt Music Festival, turning the waterfront center into one of the go-to destinations for the New Year's weekend. Look out for a smashing musical lineup to get the party started, including Theophilus London, Diplo, Panic City, and Travis Barker with Mixmaster Mike, just to name a few.
