Philip Glass & Joanna Newsom with Tim Fain
It's not too late to get tickets to tonight's benefit concert for Big Sur's Henry Miller Library. Legendary composer Philip Glass will take the stage with chanteuse Joanna Newsom and classical violinist Tim Fain in a not-to-be-missed show. All money raised will go towards the $140,000 goal needed for the nonprofit venue to build much-needed, up-to-code bathrooms.

Artpoint Talks JPG
This week, Artpoint is hosting a conversation about fashion, media, and Jean Paul Gaultier. Held in conjunction with the de Young's exhibit, the panel will be moderated by Fine Arts Museum costume and textile arts curator Jill D'Alessandro and includes designer Bacca da Silva, founder of the Poetic & Chic blog Annie Wilson, and our very own photo director Jodi Nakatsuka. Dress your best.

Gallery Crawl at Cal Academy
Go gallery hopping without having to bounce from street to street. Cal Academy is hosting an artsy nightlife event with pop-up galleries curated by Ever Gold, Spoke Art, Electric Works, Warholian, and more. Plus, check out a live specimen drawing demo by Diane T. Sands, author and illustrator of "Golden Gate Beach Wrack."

Distilled and the Underground Farmers Market
On Wed. 6/27, the Commonwealth Club hosts an event near and dear to the Bay Area's heart: How to drink like a locavore. Head east for a night of tasting and conversation with St. George Spirits, Old World Spirits, and more, moderated by the SF Bay Guardian's Virginia Miller. On Thurs. 6/28, the beloved Underground Farmers Market returns to the scene after being shut down a year or so ago. This week they're at Public Works with everyone's favorite food vendors from the past including Rice Paper Scissors, Mission Cheese, and Frozen Kuhsterd. The night is also a fundraiser, so come with full wallets.

To Rome With Love
Woody Allen's latest idiosyncratic rom-com about life-changing adventures hits SF theaters this week. Look for it at the Embarcadero Theater and Sundance Kabuki on Fri. 6/29 and then at Balboa, and the Grand Lake in Oakland on Fri. 7/6.

Dinner Party
Le Dîner à San Francisco
This is the dinner party to end all dinner parties. Think endlessly long tables cloaked in white at a secret outdoor location. Last year's grand affair, which was held at Golden Gate Park's Music Concourse, drew more than 3,500 guests. Tickets to this year's event have already been sold to last year's guests and a few lucky people on the waiting list, but this Sunday is your chance at the last general admission tickets on offer.
