Madonna's 2012 World Tour
Madge just decided to do a Bay Area double-hitter, and tickets went on sale for the shows this morning. Considering the success of her lavish Superbowl half time show, these two HP Pavilion shows won't be up for grabs much longer. Godspeed!

As part of her artist fellowship at the de Young, Monique Jenkinson (aka Fauxnique) collaborates with CounterPULSE and Dancers' Group for a performance inspired by the upcoming Jean Paul Gaultier exhibit. Expect it to ooze sex appeal, beauty, and sophistication.

Local brewers Speakeasy, Trumer Pils, 21st Amendment, Anchorsteam, Mad River, Drake's, Bear Republic, Moylan's, and more serve up tastes at this week's Cal Academy Nightlife event. And as a precursor to next week's music fest, NoisePop presents a live show by Class Actress, and DJ sets by Painted Palms and Epicsauce.

Leave love out of it, and instead indulge yourself in lust and desire. Acclaimed LA-based choreographer and ODC Theater Resident Artist Holly Johnston joins four dancers onstage in an exploration of the physical ups and downs of want: from the euphoria of satisfaction to the despair of unrequited love.

Mark Bradford and Rineke Dijkstra
It's a big week for SFMOMA and YBCA. The two arts organizations co-present more than 50 works by brilliantly edgy LA artist Mark Bradford in a tandem exhibition. Look for extensive programming around the shows. SFMOMA also presents work by Dutch photographer Rineke Dijkstra who is known for her stunningly fresh take on portraiture.
