Music: Brandon Flowers
We all know him as frontman of The Killers, but Brandon Flowers is now trying his hand at the solo thing. His solo debut Flamingo is due out in September, and he's already begun his tour supporting the forthcoming album. Comedy: Mortified
Okay, nothing new here, but if you haven't seen Mortified yet or if it's been awhile, get your tickets to the show now. I mean, where else can you see real-life strangers sharing straight from their most personal places—teen journals, unanswered love letters and angst-written artifacts? Theater: Marin Does Shakespeare
I'm a New Yorker, which means I'm a sucker for Shakespeare in the Park. True, we don't have actors like Liev Schreiber and Al Pacino taking up the stage for a free show in the Bay Area, but hey, we'll take what we can get. Marin Shakespeare Company is continuing its summer outdoor festival with Antony and Cleopatra, and I'm a girl who just can't pass up a passionate love story starring an Egyptian queen. $20-$35; 8/20 - 9/25; Forest Meadows Amphitheatre, 1475 Grand Ave., San Rafael, 415-499-4488, marinshakespeare.org

Music: Rodrigo y Gabriela
Talk about worldwide success—2006's Rodrigo y Gabriela experienced sales in excess of half a million albums. And the duo is now touring in support of last year's follow-up 11:11. So, if you've never heard Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero ripping it up on guitar, plunk down the dough now and get yourself to The Greek. It's one of the best live shows you'll see, guaranteed.

Summer Festival: Stern Grove
It's the last outdoor Stern Grove concert of the season, so whether you like They Might Be Giants and Rogue Wave or not, you should pay respect to this annual free festival with your presence (and a few dollars to help keep it going).
